CLIMBING PISCO MOUNTAIN ITINERARY
Open in new windowDay 01: Huaraz - Cebollapampa - Base camp

After the breakfast we pick you up and lead to the north side of Huaraz. Passing different traditional Andean towns as Carhuas (2650m), Yungay(2500m). Starting our trek we will have the chance to have lunch close to LLanganuco lake and after, we will continue going up to the the portachuelo pass (4767masl) that will give us a very nice view of the mountains Huascarán, Chopicalqui, Pisco, Huandoy, and others. We will arrive to the base Camp Pisco accompanied by the donkey drivers and mountain staff around 3 pm. overnight at 4500masl (BL, D)

Day 02: Base Camp - Moraine Camp

After the breakfast in the Base Camp we will check our climbing gears and prepare for the next part of our way. We will have lunch at 12:00hours, then we start hike up to the Moraine Camp, it will take 2 hours half walking over rocky path; arriving to the Moraine we will have hot tea and dinner, overnight camping at 4850masl. Open in new window Day 03: Moraine Camp- Pisco Summit - Base Camp A very early breakfast at 3am and start walking the moraine camp for about 1 hours to get the glacier;here we will have to put our climbing equipment , climbing in the morning is to avoid the ice falls. 3 more hours climbing the glacier and we will get the summit of Pisco Mountain. Time to enjoy the landscape with white peak mountains and return to the base camp, arriving in the afternoon for overnight and time to relax.(B,L,D)

Day 04: Base Camp - Cebollapampa – Huaraz

After the last breakfast in the camp we will trek for 1 hour and a half to Cebollapampa where our car will take us back to Huaraz.(B).
